Feather & Bone was forged by the partnership of two creative powerhouses Joel Meyers and David Drake. These two creative forces are at the top of their game. David Drake is a world renowned artist and entrepreneur. As a semi-retired model and actor David is equally comfortable being in front of the camera as he is behind the camera. He brings this experience into each creative endeavor, creating a positive environment of trust, comfort and joy. His art is highly sought after, and thousands of patrons would agree, David’s art can be found in the homes of fashionistas, entrepreneurs, and musicians.  David Drake is in a class of his own, and he brings his originality and passion into all that he does.

When asked about the Feather & Bone house deck the response from Joel was compelling. "This deck has been beyond a lifelong dream of mine. Since I was 7 years old and I carried around an old tattered, worn out deck of cards that were literally YEARS OLD everywhere I went because I knew the cards themselves had power. I could perform miracles with these cards anywhere for anyone at any time. For years I have wanted to create my very own deck of playing cards but no designer could ever do it the ways I wanted. I always toed the line between quality and production costs and I was the most nit picky human on the planet because I have been obsessed with playing cards my entire life. So many manufacturers either sacrificed the quality for the cost or the cost for the quality.  Then by miraculous happenstance I reconnected with my old friend and artist David Drake. Our symbiotic similarities in both style and vision brought us together and over 3 years of extremely hard work and undying passion and persistence we developed a conceptual deck of cards that not only looks rad but is near and dear to both our hearts. My mom passed away when I was young and the last movie we watched together was Forrest Gump. The feather from the film is a symbol that has stuck with me to this day. The symbolism of the skull is that in spite of how we are all different on the outside, underneath it all, we are all the same. Which is a message that I wish to spread around the world with this brand as it grows.

Each piece encompasses the ideals of Feather & Bone while remaining true to all that Joel and David Stand for. Feather & Bone is more than a decks of cards, It’s a lifestyle.
